"Your HFS program has been amazing! For the first time in years I now know what it feels like to be "free" in the hip region, lol. In doing your routine I've now switched my lifestyle over to more flexibility training as opposed to heavy weight lifting. I now do yoga almost every day of the week and include different parts of your routines into it, and maybe hit the gym up 2 or 3 times a week, but lifting much lighter more high reps.

I've noticed that my body is happily reacting to yoga mixed with your routine...I can now do things more freely than I used to. It used to be hard to wake up in the morning and make it to the bathroom without feeling like my back was going to "throw out"! Now, my back is more flexible along with the hips and legs and it makes a million dollar difference.

"4 weeks into HFS and I'm see some pretty good progress but feel I still have a ways to go. I feel more balanced and can feel muscles active that have not activated before!

I'm still real tight and finding lots of spots with the foam roller and lacrosse ball in particular on the left side.

"Having had great success with your Hip & Shoulder flexibility & Spine Control programmes I was confident that the same or similar exercises and movements practiced in my hip area would continue to provide further benefits to my reduce my stiffness/tightness in this area. With the added benefits of new knowledge/understanding in developing both strength and control I had become aware of how this can actually develop better flexibility and ROM than stretching. I had lower back problems described as a prolapsed/degenerative disc brought on over years of incorrect lifting, stretching and I think generally overloading it. I believe I had lost my normal ROM through letting my body tighten up or restrict itself as a self protection mechanism. I had begun to except this as a consequence of sports and training; and frequently endured painful lower back spasms that would completely lock me up for a couple of days before easing.

Initially very quickly after starting the Hip flexibility program I was amazed how much tightness/stiffness reduced in my lower back area which I had not been able to eliminate before. Through continuation of the program and spine /Hip Control I have improved my back extension ROM which was previously very limited. My back flex ion can now been carried out a lot more confidently with less worry of it going into a spasm which has given the confidence to get back into leg and lower back resistance exercises. My hip abduction has improved and more importantly with Control. I am developing in engaging more muscles to activate throughout the ranges of movements and continuing in the goal of it becoming unconsciously competent."
