Based on your answers, flexion is your #1 back killer.
This was determined through a fairly complicated weighted formula created based on different combinations of your answers,
What this means to you is that flexion of the lumbar spine produces or aggravates your pain, which means that you may have a disc condition, ligament or other tissue issue, but regardless of the actual diagnosis, pain is provoked when your lumbar spine is flexed.
So your pain is likely produced when you're:
- Sitting for long periods of time (long drives are the worst)
- Bent over to tie your shoes or wrestle a toddler
Exercise in general tends to be good for you, as long as you're not doing anything too stupid.
However, as I mentioned, this is V1 of the tool and before making further recommendations I'm going to review the data to make sure it's all legit.
I'll be doing this over the next few days and once I'm done I'll shoot you some personalized recommendations via email.
